We have learned through a source close to the Buffalo Bills (and more specifically Buddy Nix) that Gailey has already put together a staff for the 2010 NFL season.
Gailey was announced the head coach of the Bills a 2 PM Tuesday afternoon.
No names have surfaced as locks for jobs on Gailey’s staff, however it is rumored that he has talked with members of the 2009-2010 Buffalo staff who were fired prior to Buffalo’s coaching search.
The Buffalo Bills will announce Chan Gailey as their next head coach (The fifth in the past 10 seasons) at 2 PM EST.

Mixxnews.com is reporting that Gailey has been hired as the Buffalo Bills head coach, this comes after we learned from a source close to Gailey that the two sides would be talking contract tonight.

I have learned through a credible source in the Dallas area (no, not the same one that told me the Bills would contact Garrett) that the Bills and Gailey would meet tonight to discuss a contract. Minutes later Michael Lombardi of NFLN reported that the two sides would meet tonight.
First Buffalo News, then Jay Glazer of Fox Sports and now I am hearing from my own sources that Chan Gailey is almost a done deal to become the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills.
Chan Gailey is the former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He coached Dallas for two seasons and went to the playoffs both years.
His most recent stint in the NFL was as the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was fired by head coach Todd Hailey prior to the start of the season.
According to sources close to the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo is expected to reach out to Jason Garrett to interview for the head coaching position sometime this week.
Whether or not he interviews for the position is another question.

According to a source, Buffalo is very impressed with Russ Grimm’s style of coaching and background. They are waiting on whether or not he decides to interview before making any other decisions that may end in a potential hire.
